Lady Victoria Hervey, Prince Andrew’s former girlfriend, is facing massive backlash after posting a heartless comment about Virginia Giuffre’s death — the woman who accused Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein of sexual abuse.

Giuffre, 41, tragically died by suicide, a heartbreaking end to her long and brave fight for justice. But just hours after the news broke, Lady Victoria posted a nasty message that left people furious around the world.

On her Instagram Stories, Lady Victoria shared a screenshot announcing Virginia’s death — and shockingly captioned it:
“When lies catch up to you, there’s no way out.”

The cruel remark lit up social media with anger. Many slammed Hervey for being insensitive and disrespectful, especially given that Virginia was a mother of three who had survived years of abuse and trauma.

The Backstory

Virginia Giuffre had long claimed that Epstein trafficked her to powerful men, including Prince Andrew, when she was still a teenager. Although Prince Andrew has always denied her allegations, he agreed to a confidential financial settlement with Virginia in 2022 — without admitting guilt.

Hervey, who once dated Prince Andrew and briefly chased fame in Hollywood (even landing a small role in a Tom Hanks movie), has become known in recent years for her controversial opinions — including her loud support for Donald Trump and her fierce defense of Prince Andrew.

A Half-Hearted Walk-Back

After the furious reaction to her cruel post, Lady Victoria tried to soften her stance. A few hours later, she posted another message saying she would “pause” her commentary on Virginia’s passing.
“Suicide in anyone at any time is tragic, and in a young mother who has children, even more so,” she wrote.

However, she did not delete her original, hateful post — only adding more fuel to the fire.

A Tragic End to a Brave Life

Virginia’s family confirmed her death on Friday, calling her a “fierce warrior” who had fought against powerful abusers for years, but ultimately couldn’t bear the emotional weight any longer.

Her death, just six years after Jeffrey Epstein’s own controversial suicide in jail, has reopened painful conversations about justice, victim-blaming, and the lasting scars of abuse.

Lady Victoria Hervey’s heartless reaction only highlighted how far society still has to go in supporting survivors with compassion and respect.
