Netflix Unveils Squid Game Season 3 Teaser, Introducing New Killer Doll “Chul-su”
Netflix has just dropped the first teaser for Squid Game Season 3, ramping up excitement after the dramatic cliffhanger of Season 2. The latest preview not only follows the reveal of the season’s first poster but also officially introduces a new character in the form of a killer doll—Chul-su.
Meet Chul-su: The New Killer Doll
In the mid-credits scene of Season 2, viewers witnessed a mysterious encounter where three players approached the imposing ‘Red Light, Green Light’ doll, Young-hee. Positioned in front of Young-hee’s statue was another eerie doll, now named Chul-su. Netflix celebrated this reveal with a playful post on X (formerly Twitter) stating, “Everyone say hi to Chul-su,” accompanied by a 15-second teaser clip.
Many fans are already buzzing about the possible implications of this new character, with some speculating that the upcoming season might feature a game reminiscent of “Jack and Jill” involving both the Young-hee and Chul-su dolls. However, whether the game will indeed carry that name remains a mystery.

Teasing the Season 3 Release and Plot Twists
In a recent interview with Variety, Squid Game creator Hwang Dong-hyuk offered hints about the forthcoming season’s release and storyline without giving away too many spoilers. He mentioned, “After Season 2 launches, I believe we will be announcing the launch date for Season 3 soon. I probably expect that to launch around summer or fall next year.”
Dong-hyuk also teased a significant evolution in the character of Seong Gi-hun. After enduring tremendous losses and setbacks—including the tragic loss of his best friend—Gi-hun stands at a critical crossroads. “What is he going to be like? Will he continue on with his mission, or will he change his approach entirely? Gi-hun will not be the man he was in Season 2,” he revealed, setting the stage for a dramatic transformation in the final season.
What’s Next for the Squid Game Universe?
As Squid Game Season 2 continues to stream on Netflix, anticipation builds for Season 3’s deeper narrative and unexpected twists. With new characters like Chul-su adding layers of intrigue, fans are eager to see how the story evolves and what challenges lie ahead for Gi-hun in his quest against the deadly games.
