Meghan Markle Shares Hilarious Hair Mishap After Stepping Away from Royal Life

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has recently opened up about an amusing hair mishap she encountered after stepping down from her royal duties in 2020. In the latest episode of her podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder, Meghan shared her experience during a conversation with her friend Kadi Lee, co-owner of the popular hair salon Highbrow Hippie in Venice, California.

Meghan’s Unexpected Hair Color Disaster

In the third episode, released on Tuesday, Meghan revealed how she turned to boxed hair dye during the early days of her and Prince Harry’s new life in California. “At the time, we had just relocated to California, and were staying at a friend’s house. With the pandemic in full swing, I decided to try boxed hair dye,” Meghan explained. “I thought, ‘I’ll look just like the model on the box,’ but the result was nothing like I expected—my hair turned into this dark, almost gothic black, like something out of an Elvira look.”

Turning to Friends for Help

After the hair color disaster, Meghan reached out to her wedding stylist, Sege, who had styled her hair for her marriage to Prince Harry. He recommended Kadi Lee, which led Meghan to finally seek professional help. “Kadi was a lifesaver,” Meghan said, recalling the moment she got in touch with Lee.

A Warm Welcome from Kadi Lee

Kadi Lee also shared her first meeting with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. According to Kadi, when Meghan and Harry arrived at her salon, they greeted her with “big bear hugs” and a warm, friendly reception. The experience was a reminder of the kindness and warmth they extended to her when they visited.

A Special Bond and Future Podcast Episodes

Meghan’s conversation with Kadi on the podcast highlights not only a funny hair mishap but also the strong bond they’ve developed since Meghan and Harry left the royal family and began their new chapter. The next episode of Confessions of a Female Founder is set to be released on April 29, and fans are eager to hear more insightful and personal stories from the Duchess of Sussex.
